I feel like every month, or so my brain suddenly realizes that I haven’t done a post in a while.
July has just flown by, and I can’t believe it’s already the first of August. While I’ve been incredibly productive, I have also taken a lot of personal time in July to rest, recuperate and get back to writing my works in progress.
My book Though the Silent Forest, is slowly inching closer every day to its completion, which is both exciting and absolutely terrifying.
The cover is just about complete, so I should be posting the cover reveal any time now. I never realized that one of the most challenging aspects of publishing a book was to chose things like the cover art and the font. I absolutely hate the process but love my cover. So I can’t wait until the last details are finished to show it off.
Round two of edits is complete, and my book is in the process of being formatted. According to the publisher I’m using, Through the Silent Forest is projected to be about 570 pages, and I can’t wait to hold the proof copy in my hands soon.
For those of you who follow my social media accounts, I will be posting on Tiktok, Facebook, and Instagram, probably within the next month that I’m looking for advanced readers to send my book to in exchange for reviews.
So if that’s something you’d be interested in doing, please reach out to me anytime.
As for something new this time, I unfortunately have not had much time to read besides some work in progress and beta reads for other authors. And nothing much I can talk about yet since most of them are in the early writing stages.
But I have been writing again in between everything else in life. My compilation of short stories post The Bright One Series is nearly finished. I’m hoping to have it completed by the end of August, so that will be one more book down and several works in progress still to go.
Thank you as always for following along with my publishing adventure. You all have no idea how much it means to me. Take care until next time!
